Healthcare Customer Service Representative- FULLY REMOTE

Overview

TekSystems is currently hiring for a Remote Medical Customer Service Billing Representative. This position MUST be near Maryland area or somewhere close to receive equipment.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years or more of experience with medical call center handling medical billing questions, EOB knowledge, Claims or Medical Billing experience with high volume experience, or related experience.
  • EPIC experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding patient accounts and assist in resolving issues and concerns.
  • Maintain professional and courteous behavior to ensure a positive image and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist management with the training of new hires.
  • Explain billing issues and EOBs to patients calling in, describe what the insurance company has paid and what is owed, and understand the medical billing process.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelors degree or CPAT certification is a plus.
  • Detailed working knowledge of multiple payer application billing and/or collection processes with focus on billing.
  • Ability to read and understand an EOB and explain what insurance does.
  • Excellent patient customer service experience.
  • Fully understand the medical billing process.


Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, MD.

Pay and Benefits

Pay range: $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
