DescriptionWe are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Plastic Extrusion Operator to join our dynamic team. This role involves overseeing the operation and output of assigned production lines with a key focus on safety, efficiency, and quality.Key Responsibilities:- Adhere strictly to safety policies and procedures.- Engage in extensive training on plastic extrusion line operations, working towards certification.- Adjust and set up extrusion machines according to production needs and work orders, ensuring adherence to specifications. - Monitor the quality and accuracy of products, managing waste effectively.- Perform regular housekeeping and preventative maintenance on equipment.- Manage raw materials efficiently, ensuring the extruder is continuously fed.- Collaborate effectively with supervisors and co-workers, supporting team efforts during changeovers.Safety Requirements:- Prioritize safety and health in all activities.- Actively participate in and follow company safety guidelines.- Maintain cleanliness and professionalism in your area of work.- Proactively report and address any unsafe conditions or near misses.Qualifications:- 1-3 years of experience in plastic extrusion preferred.- Proficiency in using measuring instruments like tape measures and calipers.- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.- Ability to physically stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 65lbs for extended periods.- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.- Basic proficiency with computers.- Excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.This role is tailor-made for an individual who is focused on safety, quality, and productive efficiency, with a strong foundation in plastic extrusion operations and a collaborative team spirit.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties and responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
