**POSITION SUMMARY**

* The application support specialist is an IT professional responsible for the support and maintenance of various software applications. The position will require strong communication skills in order to effectively interface with team members, users, and customers in regards to application setup, troubleshooting issues, and providing general customer assistance as needed.

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**

* Provide support to customers and end users regarding the setup and use of various software applications.

* Troubleshoot, report, and monitor errors within different software applications.

* Maintain or develop documentation on processes and applications as needed.

* Identify, analyze, and document application and data quality issues and work closely with internal and customer IT personnel for timely remediation

**JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS**

* Preferred 1 year of experience supporting web based applications

* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office

* Additional experience with T-SQL, EDI, Plex ERP, advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP is a plus.

**SPECIAL SKILLS**

* Logical approach to problem solving.

* Comfortable working with web based applications

* Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and nontechnical personnel.

* Detail oriented with strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work independently but also a willingness to work within a team.

* Ability to effectively manage priorities, deadlines, and tasks with minimal supervision
